Soup Greens

The practical example of “Soup Greens” (base vegetables for soup / mirepoix) shows how the Eco Design approach is used to minimise negative environmental impacts.

The current most commonly used form of package for soup greens is inefficient in terms of its recyclability, weight and carbon footprint. There are potential improvements in the material used for the package as well as its shape that can significantly reduce its Environmental impact. The two packaging variants resulting from the Eco Design process could then be optimised even further in an additional iteration of the process.
