The report was produced by the World Economic Forum and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, with analytical support from McKinsey & Company, as part of Project MainStream, a global, multi-industry initiative that aims to accelerate business-driven innovations to help scale the Circular Economy. It deals with the question how collaboration along the extended global plastic packaging production and after-use value chain, as well as with governments and NGOs, can help to achieve a systemic change to overcome stalemates in today’s plastics economy in order to move to a more circular model.
